How Maxlife Additive Works

Before we know how this Additive works , Let's 1st know about the Working of Battery which will Clear you the exact Working of Additive.

 

If you check history of the battery then you know that your battery is designed to give you life of 6-8 yr. Then why your battery is dead in just 2-3 yr of its life. The Answer to the question is Sulfation. To know sulfation we have to understand the working of battery.

 

Working of battery :- Battery Consist of 2 plates +ve (PbO2) and –ve (Pb) and electrolyte H2SO4. When Battery is Discharged PbO2 and Pb is Converted into PbSO4 & Water as Explained in Fig Below

 

And During Charging PbSO4 is again Converted into PbO2 and Pb. After 6 months of operation of battery these Lead-Sulfate (Layer of PbSO4 ) crystal becomes permanent and doesn't Convert into PbO2 or Pb thus called sulfation of the battery.

 

 

What is Sulfation :- When hard crystals of Lead-Sulfate (Thin Layer of PbSO4) are deposited on the plates of a battery during the discharge process and are not converted back to lead oxide even after charging the battery is known as Sulfation. Because hard lead sulfate is a non-conductive material, when it coats the electrode plates, it causes a reduction in the area needed for the electro-chemical reactions. It also reduces the batteries' active materials needed to maintain a high capacity. This Sulfation process goes on increasing day by day and end results in dead battery.

 

There are three types of lead sulfate.

 

  • One is soft lead sulfate that decomposes with a regular charge. (During 1-6 Months)

  • The second is hard lead sulfate that will not Decompose by our Regular chargers or will only be decomposed by Special Charges( comes in existance after 6 Months ). At this stage our Additive works and Decompose these sulphate crystal Easily.

  • The last is a very hard lead sulfate that fails to decompose even equalization charging and Battery become inoperational

What Maxlife Battery Additive Do.

 

We developed a Additive in collaboration with Korean Based Company, which will help in removing the sulfation from the Battery. Our Additives will react with the 2nd level sulfate crystals present on the plates and free up pates to make lead oxide material again on plates. Once the material is converted into lead oxide we get the enough area for the reaction which results in proper functioning of the battery thus extends the life of your battery.
